Transparency International Spain has just presented a set of proposals of sixty Measures of transparency and prevention of corruption in Grants, Contracts and Procurement, and this is one of the main current sources of corruption in Spain, having replaced largely to urban corruption, main scope of corruption in recent years. These measures have been sent to the twelve main Political parties so that they can take into account and incorporate into their programs for the forthcoming general elections, as they have committed to do mostly with the generality of measures TI-Spain sent them makes a months.
These measures have been proposed plurally by a Commission established by TI-Spain, and comprising twenty-four members belonging to various institutions (judges, law enforcement, control bodies, anti-fraud services, public institutions, professional associations and universities, among others). The measures are divided into two groups: The first, comprising 45 measures, refer to the Contracts and Procurement. The second group consists of 15 measures related to Public subsidies, and some other measures to increase transparency and prevent corruption in these two areas.
